While my background is in engineering, I have always had a passion for words and an aptitude for reading and writing.
I earned my bachelor's in engineering with a concentration in materials science. Afterwards, I moved to Sweden and completed a master's in sustainable technology. I lived in Stockholm for two years and worked on teams with students from all over the world. My thesis focused on energy efficiency in wastewater treatment systems.
I believe in life-long learning and keeping a curious spirit. Having gone through the experience of AP tests in a variety of subjects, to SAT preparation, to rigorous college courses, I want to help students succeed as they go through the same processes. My teaching experience includes working as a course assistant for a design course in college and working as an adventure guide for teenagers at an environmental education center. Privately, I have taught English speaking, essay writing, and Latin dancing.
I specialize in writing, English, and test prep, but I am well-versed in a variety of subjects. My style is encouraging and highly personalized to each student. When I am not helping students, you can find me hiking, biking, canoeing, reading, or dancing.
