Enhancing study skills, becoming organized and standardized testing preparation are a few areas that I excel. I am a graduate of Oklahoma State University. I hold a Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in School Counseling. Currently, I am a Science teacher. My experience over the past 9 years has yielded me the opportunity to work with children and adolescents at various academic and social levels. My training from OK State has equipped me with the skills to work with students who have trouble staying engaged in his/her learning.
I am very adept in English, as that was my undergraduate minor. The subjects I have experience with are English, writing, science, math history, and social studies. I use multiple ways of engaging students, such as hands on activities and also just teaching them how to decode questions. For most, education is the way to a better future. Encouraging students to take their education seriously now will help him/her become one step closer to achieving his/her long-term life goals.
During my free time I enjoy attending various sporting events, engaging in outdoor activities, and traveling.
