About Me

I am a graduate of Berry College with a BA in Music and of the University of Phoenix with an MAED in Curriculum, Instruction, and ESL. I have taught/tutored students from age five years to pre-graduate level-primarily in English-to both native and non-native speakers. My music/theater background also equips me to assist with oral presentation and public speaking. Learning is a life-long process. Students' goals, interests, and strengths should be integral parts of his or her education. I believe that the tutor/student relationship is a partnership that affords the student opportunity to take an active role in learning. Student success takes place in a safe, nurturing environment where the student feels free to experiment and take risks. Developing strengths while focusing on challenging areas is a hallmark of my methods.
