About Me

It was in the 10th grade of high school when I discovered my love for Chemistry because of its mathematical usage. My interest in and comprehension of chemistry and mathematics then led me to choose a career in chemical engineering. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. During my final year of college, I began tutoring elementary, middle and high school students in all their subjects but focused strongly on math and science courses. I understand that these subjects can be challenging for most students but once students are able to work through the challenges, with the correct guidance of an educator, they are able to enjoy these subjects. My teaching style heavily depends on my students' learning style. I believe each student is different and has their own learning style, so as the teacher, I have to accommodate my teaching style to meet my students' needs. Students' passion and comprehension of math and science can then prepare them to become the impacting leaders, doctors, scientists and engineers that will change the world for better. That is why I want to be part of our future leaders' education and preparation. In addition to this, I also spend my time singing and recording Christian music with my husband, playing the guitar, cooking and traveling with my husband's music band.
