I graduated New York University's Stern Business School and did two years at Hofstra Law School before deciding to become a writer and professor. I received my MFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco and have since published poetry in several online and print journals. I have been an adjunct professor in the tri-state area for eight years, and I currently teach literature, composition, and poetry at Queens College and Queensborough Community College. I have tutored high school and college students and have always served as a mentor for my freshman students. I encourage all my students to explore education institutionally and independently because learning never stops. In my spare time, I enjoy running and yoga, playing tennis and golf, and watching hockey and football.
