I am highly qualified to teach Physics and Chemistry and I have over 8 years' experience teaching Physics (AP curriculum), Chemistry and AP Chemistry. I also have experience teaching at the community college level and I currently teach an online physics class. I have a Master of Science degree in Medical Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology.
My approach to tutoring is to ask the student questions, work through actual problems and then determine if there are more basic concepts that need to be covered. Many times, a student will have trouble with advanced concepts because he or she has not fully mastered a previous, simpler concept. Science, like math, builds upon itself, so a concept missed early in the year can cause problems throughout the rest of the year if it is not addressed. I can explain problems from various angles to incorporate the learning style of student. I also have many memory aids that can help a student to be able to keep information straight. Most of all, I am patient and don't mind covering information multiple times because the goal is to really understand the material, not to learn it in as little time as possible.
