I am a graduate of University of Virginia. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nanomedicine Engineering with minor in Biomedical Engineering and Chemistry. I was interested in dentistry, so I also took pre-requisite science courses for health professional schools and Dental Admission Test (DAT) . Since graduation, I have been working as a research assistant/laboratory manager at academic/research institutions. I am in the process of applying to graduate school and plan to pursue my Ph.D. in Bioengineering. I have been continuously involved in helping students learn as a teaching assistant in college and as a private tutor. I tutor Algebra, Geometry, DAT and GRE math. In my spare time, I enjoy various family activities with my husband and Ruby who is a certified therapy dog. We enjoy hiking, visiting dog-friendly parks, and volunteering at hospitals.
