I was raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico in a bilingual culture, and later educated in the United States, including:

- Choate Rosemary Hall (prep school) - Wallingford, CT
- Lewis & Clark College (BA International Affairs) - Portland, OR
- Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education (MAT Middle/High School) - Portland, OR

I teach Spanish, English and Social Studies (all levels). My teaching style focuses on a humanistic worldview and attention to context and critical thinking. Students are encouraged to use the tools they were born with, in order to make learning fun and relevant to their lives. Students can also count on me as a confidant and friend.
