I am a Tutor because my favorite kind of teaching environment is one-on-one. I find myself genuinely caring about the talents and dreams of whomever I'm working with.

I specialize in helping students to develop strong reading, speaking, and writing skills in Spanish and English. I have decades of experience helping students of diverse ages and backgrounds through personal tutoring and mentoring. I am also experienced working with students in summer high school academic camps, adult-education classes, and professional training seminars.

In addition to tutoring, I work with Spanish-speaking adults who want to improve their English and computer skills. My years of experience, on university faculties, make me especially good at understanding everything involved in college preparation. This includes application essays, undergraduate-level writing requirements, and graduate-level writing requirements.

My degrees were earned at three of Michigan's best universities. I earned my PhD at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. I earned my MA at Wayne State University. I earned my BA at Michigan State University.

One of my strengths, as a Teacher and Tutor, is that I create innovative and personalized study plans for each students' goals. Your dreams are my guide! My style is casual, fun, and rigorous. I'm going to be working hard, so I hope you will, too. That definitely improves our success speed!
