I am an education policy professional with a passion for mentoring and tutoring young scholars. I have a J.D. from Howard University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University. Since high school, I have been involved with several mentoring, tutoring, and youth development groups, programs, and initiatives. My experience with students ranges from preschool to professional school. My favorite subjects are literacy, reading comprehension, and writing. I believe that every person has the capacity to learn and improve in every subject area if they embrace their unique learning style and approach new material with determination and an overall zest for learning, personal growth, and education. I have a calm, positive, and encouraging demeanor that reduces the anxiety some students feel about learning and test taking. My personal interests include: reading, creative writing, art, music, basketball, meditation, and comedy.
