I am a graduate of Simmons College in Boston, where I received my degree in Biology as well as my Master's degree in Secondary Education. Biology has always been fascinating and a passion for me, but during my graduate studies I worked as a student teacher for a full year at a public high school, where I realized that my true passion is sharing my knowledge and sparking an interest in science for my students!
I have taught biology at the high school level for three years, and have tutored students at various levels and branches of biology as well. I also teach biology for a program in Boston called Classroom At The Workplace where I work with many English language learners. My experiences in and out of the classroom and with various types of learners has expanded my ability to make biology content accessible AND fun!
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching documentaries, yoga, meditation, cooking, painting, walking/hiking, and enjoying the city of Boston.
