I have a BA in English, Magna Cum Laude, from Tufts University. And I have an MFA in Creative Writing from Rutgers-Camden. While I worked on my MFA, I taught Writing courses at Camden County College. This past fall, I served as the Emerging Writer-in-Residence at Penn State Altoona. I can teach and tutor a variety of subjects, but I adore English: high school essays, college admission essays, AP Literature and Composition. I’m a good teacher, and I can help you improve your reading and writing skills. I believe that learning can, and should be fun. My students and I generally have a good time working together. I only teach subjects I’m passionate about, and it shows in my students’ progress, and in their growing love and/or tolerance of the material.
When I’m not helping others with their writing, I’m working on my own. I write fiction and essays. My work has appeared in the New York Times, and a wide variety of literary magazines. I also play the guitar, and I enjoy sports quite a bit: watching and playing.
