I recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a Masters Degree in English. I love learning and I believe that it can be enlightening and fun. But, I also know that the process can be frustrating at times. The mark of a great tutor is his or her ability to address each individual's needs so that learning can become an empowering tool rather than a stumbling block. Working with students in small groups and in one-on-one settings to this end is a passion of mine. I love collaborating with individuals to better understand their learning style and to best help them succeed. I tutor for all things English related, but I also offer Math help from the elementary level up through middle school and Geometry. I also believe that there is a balance between working hard and letting yourself play and relax, no matter how old you get! Things I like to do for fun are read a good book, write creatively, watch great films and talk about them, take a hike, go running, volunteer in my community, cook delicious dishes, explore new places and meet new people.
