I'm a graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. While I love teaching all subjects, science is easily my favorite because it explains how everything works and is so applicable to the world around us. Not everyone loves science, but I have found that once a student gains the skills and confidence they need, science becomes a fascinating subject that stimulates their curiosity and excitement. Most of the students I tutor come to me for help with science or math; however, I have also helped students with standardized test prep and general study and time management skills. As a pre-medical student, I've had plenty of personal experience with managing a rigorous course load, test anxiety, and time management. My experiences as a student help me relate to my students. Having been through the stressful college application process myself, I can give my students the advice and encouragement they need to be successful. In my free time, I enjoy exploring New York City with my friends. I grew up in the Midwest, so the city is an exciting new place to live and I look forward to exploring it all! I also love baking, playing the piano, and playing tennis.
