I have been a Colorado licensed elementary teacher for eleven years. Teaching all subjects makes me uniquely qualified to work with children in all subject areas. I have mainly taught intermediate elementary students. I am also skilled in helping students develop organizational and study skills that help to prepare them for middle school. My original Bachelor’s degree is in Political Science. Next, I obtained my teaching license and a few years later I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught English Language Learners, educationally challenged students, and gifted students. I have been recognized by Denver Public Schools for the high growth of my students. I believe that all children can learn if the teacher uses whatever is necessary to get the information to the child in a way that they can understand it.
I am originally from the Midwest but have lived in Colorado for many years now. I love the mountains and hike often. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, and traveling. I’m sure that I can help your child reach their academic potential.
