About Me

I am a graduate of San Jose State University, and I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been tutoring for five years with LAUSD, the No Child Left Behind program,and private students. I’ve tutored people in Language Arts who are in Kindergarten through the 12th grade, and in math, through the 4th grade. I enjoy working with all age groups. I love to get to know each student and their particular needs. Tutoring takes patience and perseverance. These are two important character traits I used while managing my one woman property management business for fourteen years. The self discipline I have learned over my lifetime is another gift I love to share with my students. Among others, I have used the philosophy of John Wooden when working with them. He said, “Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable.” That’s all any of us can do, and it is an honor to help students develop their gifts and talents!
