I grew up on Long Island, NY, but have lived in the Boston area for many years. I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Boston University and a Masters in Divinity from Episcopal Divinity School. From an early age I was drawn to teaching as I helped others learn to ride a bike, snow ski or learn a new game. Teaching, coaching and mentoring have continued throughout my life in various settings. I love to support others and see them succeed. Over the years I have enjoyed tutoring several elementary school students. In addition, I have used my strong English skills to help a Chinese-speaking neighbor with her English. Among my many interests are music, especially choral and classical, and working with dogs. My present dog has earned her AKC Beginner Novice title, and she also is a therapy dog who regularly visits a nursing home.
