I am a graduate of Pomona College, where I majored in Neuroscience. I am preparing to apply to medical school and hope to continue working with kids as a pediatrician. I have over 7 years of tutoring and mentoring experience, working with students from 2nd to 12th grade. I am passionate about working with students and being able to connect with them as a near-peer. My goal is to help each and every student I work with find the academic subject that sparks their passion for learning. Being a visual learner myself, I have always had to create tools, draw pictures, or make games for myself in order to learn, and I bring that to my tutoring style. I truly believe that any student has the capacity to learn and excel in academics--it's up to the tutor/teacher to find a creative way to teach! The sciences are my specialty, as evidenced by my college major as well as my medical school preparation, but I have worked with students in all academic areas, from English/Language Arts to the college application process, as well as SAT prep. In my free time, I love hiking, traveling, and cooking.
