Teaching is my blood; both my mother and grandmother were teachers. There's nothing that makes me happier than that 'aha!' moment - when my student understands something he/she would not have without my help.

When my sisters and I came home from our school in the Bronx we had to complete 'Mom's homework' after our own schoolwork as a matter of course. 'Mom's homework' was our way into the best private schools in the northeast. My own children - my autistic son and my intellectually gifted daughter - did 'Mom's homework' as well, which enabled them to reach their own intellectual bests.

I believe that children have exactly one chance at a good education track. A good tutor can hone skills that might not have been properly nurtured in the usual academic setting.
