I just recently moved to New Jersey for a teaching position. I am originally from Pennsylvania where I attended high school and graduated in 2008 with 22 college credits. I was active in soccer, dance, FBLA, FTA, the National Honor Society, and SADD. After high school, I attended Penn State and earned a BS degree in Secondary Education with the option of Chemistry in December of 2011.
I am currently a high school Chemistry teacher in Keansburg, NJ. I am certified in Chemistry and General Science, but have had experience in tutoring Math, Chemistry, and Biology. Every Tuesday, I spend two and a half hours after school helping students with any subject in our school library.
I truly believe the most effective learning environment begins with building relationships. I want to know what resources my students have access to, where they come from, and what they enjoy doing. This allows me to adapt my teaching style for each student and to create examples that students can relate to by using their skills and interests. I look forward to working with you and helping you to succeed!
