I've been tutoring junior high and high school students since 2010. I have strong background in Biology, Chemistry and Algebra from completing Pre-Med classes during my time there. I also am skilled in Spanish grammar and conversation from completing a Spanish Language minor. Those I have tutored have averaged a 20 point increase in test scores and their overall average. I specialize in homework help and prepping students for tests. When teaching, I'm very hands on and write out notes and examples on paper as I explain concepts and work through problem questions. The notes I write are yours to keep when I am done, so you can keep them to review on your own at any time. I tend to incorporate practice problems into my lesson to reinforce what I've explained, because I truly believe practice makes perfect. Success in any subject can come with enough practice and with enough time spent talking through key concepts. I have additional experience in the classroom from working as a remedial math and literacy teacher for elementary school students. I've also worked as a health education teacher in NYC public high schools. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, reading and playing video games. I love spending time with my friends and also with my two dogs and cat.
