I am a graduate of Williams College with majors in both Chemistry and Political science. I also completed the pre-medical curriculum and plan on going to medical school. While at Williams I expanded my love of learning under professors who focused on teaching, engaging students and building relationships. I took advantage of the liberal arts course offerings and am comfortable tutoring in the core social sciences.
Trained by Teach For America, I have taught 9th grade Biology in Georgia public schools. In college I tutored my peers in General, Organic, Physical and Inorganic Chemistry. I was a lab Teaching Assistant for Molecular Biology, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. My experience also includes tutoring SAT, ACT, and SSAT test preparation, and high school science, math and English internationally.
My teaching philosophy is that every student can learn and achieve at the highest level. I strive to explore different avenues of learning in order for students to comprehend and engage with the material.
