About Me

I am currently enrolled in a Secondary School Certification program at Haverford College. As somebody with a teacher as a mother, education has always been present in my life. I grew up thinking about educational policies and philosophies and started teaching at a Sunday school when I was a senior in High School. Since then, I have done several field placements as part of my education courses and also taught in my own classrooms for two summer enrichment programs. One of the things that these experiences have taught me is that every student learns differently. Unfortunately, in a large classroom situation, it is not always possible to give each student the individual attention that they need to achieve. This is why I think tutoring is so important. I have spent hundreds of hours in and out of my education courses discovering best practices for helping support students in their learning. I am excited to apply all of this to helping students get that necessary individual attention through tutoring with Varsity.
