When I was a high school student at Central High in Philadelphia, I struggled with some of the concepts in AP Chemistry, Biology and Math. It took me years of studying to understand that, sometimes it can really help to have the material presented in alternative ways. Having learned that, I sought help from various sources -- sometimes other people, sometimes other books, videos or materials -- and was able to overcome these hurdles.
Now a laboratory manager and technician in a leading neuroscience laboratory in Philadelphia with a Master's Degree in Pharmacology, I'm interested in helping students as they work through their own struggles to grasp key concepts in their math and science courses.
With a strong background in writing, and years of experience tutoring writing skills at Penn State University and as the new editor of Philly's Two.One.Five Magazine, I am also available to help students develop their writing and composition skills.
