About Me

I have experience teaching in all grades, K-6. I completed my first full year of solo teaching in May. It was an incredible learning experience and the knowledge I gained from my first year is irreplaceable. I worked with a variety of students from vast educational backgrounds. Working with these students made me develop and incorporate many different instructional strategies to suit their learning styles. I am very enthusiastic about education and this is evident throughout my instruction. I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement and am constantly encouraging my students throughout my lessons. I believe that education should be a positive experience for all involved. Outside of school I have many different hobbies and interests. I have an energetic Brittany Spaniel, Poppy. Poppy keeps me entertained 24 hours a day. We enjoy going on long walks together (4-5 miles a day) and visiting different dog parks around the city. I am passionate about literature. I love reading anything and everything. I am currently the president of a book club. We have monthly meetings where we discuss our latest book club read and decide on the next month's venture. I love to cook and I also enjoy traveling. I was fortunate to take part in a life-changing journey to India in March. It was absolutely amazing. I love adventure and I have a passion for learning, exploring, and discovering new things as often as possible.
