I am a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati. I hold degrees in Natural Science and Spanish. I grew up in Tulsa, OK but moved to Cincinnati, OH after graduating from high school. I am currently back in Cincinnati, OH where I earned my MSN at Xavier University and I earned my PhD in Nursing Research at the University of Cincinnati.
In addition, I find that learning languages is so rewarding and fun! Many students I have come across would find that hard to believe but usually come around to see that it can be fun when their confidence is built up enough.
I have tutored college age students in Spanish and the sciences in mentoring groups. I am also a triage nurse for a medical service trip to Guatemala every year, so my Spanish is tested and approved! :) I have also been known to teach the younger kids of my family to read, write and practice math. I am now also an adjunct faculty in an accelerated BSN program at Xavier University where I teach nursing research and pharmacology. So I have a broad range of experience. The key for me is that I love to learn and I love to see others learning and enjoying what they learn. Having someone to motivate you to learn is an important part of the process in my opinion. I would love to be a help to you and your student!
In my down time, I love to listen to music. Next to the sciences and Spanish, music is my passion. I also love watching tennis, soccer and basketball especially since I used to play!
