As a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, I learned from the best how to teach the whole child. Learning is a lifelong process that should be enjoyed. As a teacher, I strive to help children not only understand the curriculum, but to see how it can be beneficial in their lives. My hope is that my students find their way through life making the best choices they can, and become best they can be using the tools given them.My degree is in Elementary Education, specializing in Science and Social Science. I show and encourage my students to write concise and accurate description of their work. This part of the course training is to prepare my students for graduate schools and for their future careers goals achievements. I like to walk in the class especially when I give assignments to my students to see how much they understand of the instructions given. Of further great importance are homework problems, quizzes and exams, which allow me to gauge both how well a student can individually explore problems and how effective my lessons are at teaching the necessary methods and techniques. These formal assessments allow me to improve as a teacher from year to year.The most gratifying part of teaching is perceiving that I am contributing to generate a more scientifically literate society, where my students have the abilities required to make educated decisions, assess opinions and proposals based on facts and logic, measure the importance and significance of statistics presented in popular science articles and the press, and approach their lives with an inquisitive nature.

With the appropriate use of technology we can both, the teacher and student get a lot out of a multi-cultural environment. Learning languages, opens the door to a whole different world and as we follow the path of life's journey, educating ourselves, is a never-ending process. You can never learn enough. The topic of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is very important for me, coming from a multi-racial home. I also have a career in Film & TV Production and have played basketball my whole life.
