I am reliving the process of learning that concept myself, both by explaining the concept in new ways and by seeing students wrestle with and eventually grasp the concept for themselves. For me, teaching is a way of "living vicariously" through students by experiencing the joy of learning once more.

As a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, I learned from the best how to teach the whole child. Learning is a lifelong process that should be enjoyed. As a teacher, I strive to help children not only understand the curriculum, but to see how it can be beneficial in their lives. My hope is that my students find their way through life making the best choices they can, and become best they can be using the tools given them.My degree is in Elementary Education, specializing in Science and Social Science. I enjoy teaching all subjects, but my favorites are reading, writing, and cooking. I have taught all ages in elementary school classrooms, and all subjects. In addition, I have led after-school science club, Sunday School, and tutored students who use English as a second language. My most recent experiences have been in physical education and art as a community volunteer.

I believe that students should be taught how to think, not what to think. I am one of the most popular lecturers on campus as I am known for my kindness, compassion, and sense of humor. My education has given me the skills I need to be a tutor and teacher, but it is being a mother, daughter and friend first that is the foundation of my teaching philosophy. I chose a life of serving others, and I believe that becoming the best version of yourself is the life goal that matters most.

Teaching physics presents unique challenges. I think that one important element in teaching any class is a positive attitude with energy and creativity to engage students in the effort of creative a pleasant environment. I have always tried to present real-world and hands-on practice to solidify the fact that what is being learned is essential in the intellectual maturity. I like to engage groups discussion to allow students to share their experience and teamwork is always important in a society where we always trying to help someone. I show and encourage my students to write concise and accurate description of their work. This part of the course training is to prepare my students for graduate schools and for their future careers goals achievements. I like to walk in the class especially when I give assignments to my students to see how much they understand of the instructions given. Of further great importance are homework problems, quizzes and exams, which allow me to gauge both how well a student can individually explore problems and how effective my lessons are at teaching the necessary methods and techniques. These formal assessments allow me to improve as a teacher from year to year. The most gratifying part of teaching is perceiving that I am contributing to generate a more scientifically literate society, where my students have the abilities required to make educated decisions, assess opinions and proposals based on facts and logic, measure the importance and significance of statistics presented in popular science articles and the press, and approach their lives with an inquisitive nature.

Learning languages, opens the door to a whole different world and as we follow the path of life's journey, educating ourselves, is a never-ending process. You can never learn enough. The topic of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is very important for me, coming from a multi-racial home. I also have a career in Film & TV Production and have played basketball my whole life.
