I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Kansas. I am also a member of the University Honors Program, and I will be attending Notre Dame Law School in the fall. I am currently tutoring all sections of the ACT. These are my favorite subjects to tutor, as I am not very far removed from high school, but I have much experience helping clients reach their goals over the past three years. I understand the incredible impact a solid ACT score can have on the college process.

I am entirely committed to ensuring every one of my students break through the barriers preventing them from reaching their full potential. My process involves an individual, connected explanation of the content, discussing problem-solving strategies to make testing much easier than it seems, encouraging practice and the growth of individual learning, and making sure my style of teaching is right for my student's style of learning. Most importantly, I seek to make my students love learning as much as I do.
I am a student at the University of Kansas majoring in Political Science and minoring in French. I am qualified to tutor for many AP Courses (U.S. Government, U.S. History, and French Language) in addition to ACT and further language and English tutoring. I am not far removed from these courses and tests and am therefore able to help students uniquely as I remember being in there situations.
I am a sophomore math major at the University of Kansas. People think I'm crazy to major in math, but I just tell them how much I have always loved the subject. I enjoy spending time with the girls in my sorority, scoping out new coffee shops around town, and volunteering around my community.
I am currently an undergraduate student enrolled at the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, Kansas, pursuing the majors of Biology and Psychology.
I am not a student anymore, however, does not mean I can't still dedicate myself to learning. There is no better way to do that than to help others learn too, and that is, most of all, what I want to do.
I am a junior at the University of Kansas studying Mathematics. I will be tutoring math up to Calculus I (or AP Calculus AB); I will also be tutoring the entirety of the ACT.
I am a pre-med student at the University of Kansas. I am studying molecular, cellular and developmental biology.
I'm Dr. Thomas Torma, a writing and history tutor with university teaching experience in both the U.S. and the U.K. I specialize in helping students turn unclear ideas into clear, confident writing. I work especially well with students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. Together, we break assignments into manageable steps, clarify expectations, and build skills you can use long after a single paper is finished. I approach every student as an individual. There's no one-size-fits-all method. My goal is to understand how you think and help you develop a process that works for you. If you're looking for clear guidance, practical strategies, and a supportive environment to improve your writing, I'd be glad to work with you.
