I am passionate about helping students because it is rewarding and it is what I do best.

I am currently a graduate level student that will begin work towards my Human Health and Environmental Systems MPH at Oregon Health and Science University in the fall. I held my first tutoring job in high school, where I spent after school and summers working with local elementary school students on reading, writing, and math skills. I loved the rare chance to see the look on a child's face when a tricky concept they had been struggling with suddenly made sense.

I am beginning work as a management consultant in the engineering space this summer (2020).

I am a senior at Fordham University majoring in Biology and minoring is Disability Studies. I expect to graduate Spring 2023. I have tutored since the 7th grade and I love to help people understand concepts that they previously struggled with. I tutor in a variety of subjects but I am most passionate about Algebra, the SAT Grammar section, and the SAT Math Section. I believe that curating a unique approach for each individual is important in their advancement. Everybody is different and therefore their way of learning will be different too! This has helped many of my students raise their grades and confidence when it comes to their studies. In my free time, I enjoy watching cooking videos on YouTube and going to the gym! I am a graduating senior at Northeastern University working toward a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. I have more than a year's experience of substitute teaching for grades K-12, and I have taught in less formal settings as a camp counselor, a youth mentor, and a captain on sports teams. I find great joy in teaching and helping others, and I especially enjoy helping people with their writing skills or ACT/SAT prep. I wholeheartedly believe that everybody deserves access to the most effective education and that learning is a lifelong experience, and I hope that my students grow to believe the same. By treating students with respect and attempting to truly make a connection with them, I get the privilege of seeing the enthusiasm light up in their eyes, which is a wonderful feeling. In my spare time, I love reading, writing, running, exploring the outdoors, and watching and playing all kinds of sports (especially Ultimate Frisbee and ice hockey).

As someone who has benefited from tutoring, I am passionate about teaching subject matter that not only is personalized for a student's learning needs but also empowers them. Additionally, I have experience in editing/writing college essays, proofreading and with research (I have conducted research with Emory University School of Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University, NIH/NIDDK and been accepted to a REU by the National Science Foundation).
