I am a recent college graduate with previous experience tutoring NCAA athletes in a variety of subjects. I understand students have different motivators and how to identify what inspires someone to work harder. Additionally, I recognize that each person has their preferences and work with students to customize plans and teaching styles.

I have a BA in Math from Wittenberg University and a Masters in Applied Statistics from the University of Alabama. I have been tutoring part-time for 8 years in Austin, TX and now here in Denver. I tutor the following subjects: algebra, discrete/finite math, geometry, and statistics (business, psych).My approach is to tutoring is about one thing: relatability. I really try to understand the student's issues and identify with them. This puts the student in a comfortable place, where no question feels like a dumb question. Once you get there, you can make real progress.Personal interests: sports of all sorts (i'm a huge Colts, Pacers, Dodgers, and Crimson Tide fan), gaming, snowboarding, reading crime fiction, watching pretty much everything on Comedy Central.

I'm a high school science teacher with experiences in languages, writing, and the arts. I'm interested in helping my students decode and relate to the material in front of them, and develop meaningful connections with it so that their understanding goes beyond just skills and content knowledge.

Growing up as the oldest of five kids, I've spent a large part of my life being a tutor for my siblings. This helped me develop my teaching skills at a young age, and served me well when I became a recitation instructor at University of Colorado Denver, teaching upper-division genetics. My year-long tenure there only deepened my love of teaching and helped me strengthen my abilities to educate many different styles of learners. I also have the experience with graduate standardized testing, as I scored in the 95th percentile or above on the SAT, ACT, and MCAT.Since graduating in May with two degrees in biology and psychology, I have spent my time going through the medical school application process. During the upcoming year, I hope to help tutor those still in school not only to keep on my toes academically, but to help those who may be struggling with various subjects throughout their academic careers. There is no better feeling than watching someone have a eureka moment of understanding, and I look forward to meeting and working with new students.As a Colorado native, I love spending my free time hiking and climbing my way through the Rockies. I also enjoy playing volleyball (being 6'8" has its advantages) and teaching myself to play the guitar.

Originally from Houston, Texas, I attend the Colorado School of Mines, and am studying Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Economics and Business. In the past, I have tutored various math subjects and math SAT test prep. These subjects continue to be my favorites as I enjoy teaching students to solve math puzzles. When tutoring I first work to understand the fundamental problems a student has with the material, and from there work on building up toward more complicated work. I enjoy reading world history and classic literature, as well as staying active and healthy.

I have a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College, where I studied both history and pre-dentistry. I will soon be pursuing a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, as well. In my free time, I enjoy figure skating, crocheting, and reading. In addition to tutoring, I also teach group figure skating lessons. I firmly believe in the value of education and have always approached academics with enthusiasm, especially math. I have always enjoyed working with numbers, and I have always had a great appreciation for math. I earned my B.A. and M.A. in English from the University of Northern Colorado. I tutored at the high schools, my university, and at our community college.I taught English Literature and Composition courses at our community college in Colorado before moving to Albuquerque.I was born and raised in Colorado and love exploring the mountains around ABQ and Santa Fe. When I'm not outdoors, I'm usually reading, watching TV, or going to the movies. There's nothing like fresh buttered popcorn, right? My favorite film and novel genres include graphic novels, comedies, film noir, Shakespeare, mystery, and horror. I have learned there are so many great ways to explore language and know that having a command of the language will benefit any career path. Allow me to show you how.
