My personal philosophy is grounded in the belief that all people deserve innovative, evidence-based, culturally inclusive care, and focuses on their desired quality of life. This kind of care addresses one's entire being and requires dynamic, interdisciplinary work that reflects a thoughtfully shared decision-making model and supports the individual, their loved ones, and the communities that they are a part of. As a healthcare professional, my objective is to help nursing "professionals-in-training" become dynamic and transformational critical thinkers. My methodology in achieving this stems from the belief that nursing is truly both an art and a science and requires honing knowledge, experience, and skill. Then, I use a multi-faceted approach to promote active learning. I want those I tutor in nursing to feel comfortable asking questions and identifying ways that best help them actively learn, understand, and retain concepts that make them safely and efficiently actionable when at the bedside. Career-wise, I have been an LPN since 2011, an RN since 2015, and an NP since 2021. My career has spanned largely adult critical care, hospice, and long-term geriatric care. Most recently, I graduated from the University of Miami with my MSN and am a board-certified AGACNP by the ANCC. Additionally, I completed a 1-year post-graduate training program in Adult Critical Care at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Completing my training made me understand that nursing education is where my passions lie. On a personal note, I enjoy reading, animated short films, hiking, traveling domestically and internationally, antiques-shopping, and cooking and eating great Asian food.
