I went to American of College of Education for my master's degree. My bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. My master's is in Educational Leadership. On my teacher certificate, I am endorsed in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and in Elementary Education K-6. I am working towards my reading endorsement and leadership certification. My tutoring experience is working with students from grade K to 7th. I have taught kindergarten to 5th grade. I have tutored subjects, such as reading, writing, and math. My favorite subjects are reading, writing and math. I like reading and writing because those subjects go hand and hand. In order to read, you need to decode (sound out) words. In order to write the words, you need to encode (to spell) words. When students learn to decode it supports his/her encoding. These are two different skills to teach. Math is another one because there is always more than one way to solve a problem. My mission is to make sure you reach your goal and equip you with tools to be self efficient. I love to enrich minds and help students who are looking for additional support to better their education. When the student(s) and I are working on a problem, I will see different methods to solve a problem or what conceptions him/her may have and that needs to be corrected. Students and I take the beginning of the session to get to know each other and then I assess his/her weaknesses and strengths in the subject matters. I assess varies skills and strategies in each subject. I give 10-15 minutes for a break to have student use the bathroom, stretch or get a mental relief. I give students time to apply skills/strategies that were taught. I am determined to make sure information is convey to my clients. I advocate and work for my students. I am caring and thoughtful to people especially from different ethnicities. I am always willing to make a welcoming learning environment.

I like to read, take runs while my son is riding his bike, I play some video games and sports with my son. I will to hangout with my friends and family. I love to smile and laugh. My knowledge never stays the same. I enjoy learning new things and participating in activities that are both professional and personal.
