About Me

I received a Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of South Carolina and Operations research fromthe University of Illinois. I was a tutor at the academic success center during my undergraduate studies in calculus, statistics and probability, algebra, pre calculus and linear algebra. During my masters degree I was a assistant teacher for stats and probability 101 class. I have had tutoring sessions withindividuals and groups of students following their course curriculums or separate materials based on their learning goals and needs. My favorite subjects are probability and statistics, calculus and algebra. As a student I had an inherent understanding for mathematics andreceived departmental awards for my grades. I am passionate about helping students because I beleive on one person is an island of knowledgeand the more you share your knowledge and ideas with people the better you understand the theory and concepts behind any topic. My teaching philosophy is tailored towards clear understanding of concepts and ensuring the student has the best learning experience possible to make the studentmeet their goals and objectives. Outside of teaching and academia I enjoy listening and playing music, fitness and exercise, travel and tourismand keeping up with the latest technological trends in AI and data science.
