About Me

I have twelve years of experience in the healthcare field as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with an Adult Critical Care Specialty. I completed an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care, a Bachelor's degree in Business: Healthcare Administration, and a Master's Degree in Health Leadership. Educating patients and members of the community on understanding disease processes, our healthcare system, and actionable steps to improve health are the most fulfilling parts of my current role. Education has been a vital part of my life and career. I believe in the power it has to transform our lives. I grew up in a home that valued education. Several of my family members, including my mom, are teachers. I spent many hours in their classrooms helping prepare lessons, activities, and tutoring students. My strengths are in science and reading. I was the salutatorian of my high school class, taking multiple AP and Pre-AP courses in science, math, and reading. It was hard to decide if I wanted to pursue teaching or healthcare. Before starting my career in healthcare, I taught preschool for a dermatology office, substitute taught at a middle school, and taught swimming lessons (6 months to adult).I would like to take this tutoring position as an opportunity to give back and enjoy the best of both worlds. I look forward to sharing what knowledge I have accumulated throughout my education and career.
