I am an MSN-prepared nurse with over 30 years of experience in Women's Health (Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, Nursery, NICU), Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Rapid Response, Emergency Room, and Observation Unit Nursing. I have certifications in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (RNC-EFM) Certified Lactation Counselor (RNC-CLC), and I am an instructor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Also, I have been an AWHONN instructor for Fetal Monitoring till recently. I have also played a key role in bringing about Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) changes in Leadership and management positions as a Manager, Hospital educator, and Nursing Consultant. In the last few years, I slowly transitioned to Academia as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Nursing, Subject Matter Expert (SME), and currently working as a Nursing Professor at a University. It is essential to know how to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to care for patients and be a successful nurse and Health care team. I am very passionate about coaching and mentoring on how to pass your NCLEX and using the skill set of critical thinking so that one can solve issues professionally and personally logically. I am passionate about preparing student nurses to be successful in any healthcare environment because it is crucial to have the best instructors who can lay a firm foundation for student success. For over a decade, I have been mentoring and tutoring healthcare professionals to be successful in the carrier path they have chosen. I am proud to say that some of my students have not only become nurses but have achieved higher education and critical thinking and are successful in their professions.
