About Me

I am a graduate of Slippery Rock University! Go Rock!! I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education and my masters degree in Special Education. I also have a certification in Gifted Education. During my 21 years in education, I have spent 16 years as a 4th grade teacher and 5 years as a gifted resource teacher. Currently, I am a full time virtual 4th grade teacher. My absolute favorite subjects are math and social studies. While growing up I always found math a challenge for me. Because I have that firsthand knowledge of what it's like to struggle in math, I do my very best to make math relatable to all students. I will do whatever I need to do in order to make my students successful. I believe in having good relationships with my students to gain an understanding of what they need to be the most successful learners. I am very family oriented! We like to do fun things together like camping, hiking, kayaking, and going to amusement parks! We even have found a new interest in Geocaching! Of course after all of the fun we have, I love to scrapbook our adventures together.
