About Me

I am a graduate of The University of Kansas. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. I have worked in many different settings with children who have a variety of disabilities. I feel that all children and adults can contribute, in a positive way, to our society. There is not a greater reward than seeing the smile or twinkle in a students eyes when they have learned something. I appreciate that what might be appropriate goals for one student may not be appropriate for another. I want to help students to be as independent as they can be and function on their own as much as possible. While I have primarily worked with children before they go to Kindergarten, I have 3 children of my own who are in high school and middle school. I have learned so much from them and the teachers who teach them.
