About Me

I am a graduate of Nova Southeastern University. I received my Bachelor of Science focusing on psychology and a minor in substance abuse. Immediately after graduation, I began working as an elementary school teacher. When I taught full-time, I would teach all subjects. However, I am most passionate about teaching phonemic awareness and phonics because I enjoy teaching young students to read. In my experience, helping young students learn to read has always been the most rewarding and fun. I love preparing my students to become lifelong learners. It is wonderful to help students develop a growth mindset and see students get so excited when they can see and feel themselves learning to read and comprehend more challenging books.
