About Me

I teach Writing, English, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Executive Functioning and Self-Regulation. I have extensive experience with ADHD, ADD, and learning differences such as dyslexia and autism. Also experienced with speakers of other languages. My Executive Functioning training began in ten years ago at the NYU Child Study Center. Since that time I have worked with many young people and adults, helping them understand their learning styles, learn and study more efficiently, and achieve their goals. My students say they have to work less hard, and have less stress from school, while getting better grades (that is, the students who engage and practice the tools between sessions). I hold a Master's of Science and have taught Anatomy and Physiology in the Nursing Program at Laguardia Community College in NYC. At other colleges I have taught Biology, Academic and Business Writing, also Communication Skills in Business and Relationships, and Acupuncture. in 2022, Varsity commissioned me to teach small classes preparing students for the standardized Massage Board Exam (MBLEx). My Varsity students have said they make substantially more progress with me than with other tutors. I believe this is because I encourage my students to get to get to know how they learn. This trains the most important aspects of executive function, which is self-awareness - this has been verified by psychologists and researchers on ADHD and I have seen it work in myself and my own children, all of whom have ADHD. I seek students are sincere and teachable.
