About Me

As an INFJ, I deeply enjoy helping others learn and grow through tutoring. My roots run deep in Florida as a fifth-generation native. Born in Tallahassee and raised on St. George Island until hurricanes struck in 1987, I eventually settled in my parents' hometown of Jacksonville after graduating from Duncan U. Fletcher High School. I hold a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art from the University of North Florida. With expertise in different learning styles and study techniques, I believe vibrant, artistic note-taking can aid memory recall during exams. In addition to my teaching certification for Social Sciences (grades 6-12), I obtained a Florida Real Estate License in 2013 and worked in property management for five years. Prior to that, I spent a decade as a floral designer crafting weddings. Embracing my creative side, I view art as a therapeutic outlet and aspire to become an art therapist or college professor. An avid learner, my studies encompass American Sign Language, MLA, floral design, painting, ceramics, technology, NFTs, virtual real estate, e-commerce, fulfillment, poker, music, comedy, and dancing. I even know how to drive a manual transmission car. My diverse background extends to my lineage - a DNA test revealed I'm the 5th cousin 7 times removed of Susan B. Anthony. Some of my favorite books include "The Mind Map Book," "Emotional Intelligence," "1984," "Atlas of the Heart," and works by Anne Rice and Charlaine Harris. Television shows like "Prodigal Son," "The Mentalist," and "Saturday Night Live" keep me entertained. While spelling and grammar remain areas for improvement, my passion for knowledge is unwavering. From psychology and graphic design to the metaverse and AI, I'm constantly exploring new intellectual horizons as both a student and educator.
