About Me

I am a graduate of Western Carolina University and received my BS degree in Emergency Medical Care. I have been a paramedic since 1994 and have worked in all positions of EMS. I was on faculty at the largest community college in NC for two years teaching EMS courses (EMT through Paramedic.) While I am very comfortable teaching all subjects related to EMS and Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine, I am most passionate about cardiology, airway/respiratory, medical topics, trauma, and scenario/oral board practice for standardized exams (State and NREMT). I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and assisting with English Bulldog rescue.
