About Me

My name is Roger Mori, and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. My education includes a BS in Mathematics from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and two AS in Information Technology and Computing from the College of Southern Nevada. My work experience consists of software engineering and coding instruction. I have worked as a software engineer for Herlinda, Boldpenguin, and Lone Wolf Technologies. In addition, I am a coding instructor at a prestigious coding Bootcamp. My motivation for teaching encompasses using my real-world experience to help my students avoid the same struggles that I faced. Every student has unique learning habitssome students like hands-on exercises, others like more lectures. So, My teaching philosophy starts with knowing the student's learning method; then, it focuses on comprehending the problem and ends setting an adequate balance between theory and practice. During the session, I team with the student, and we work together to accomplish the goal.
