About Me

I love kids and I love learning. I have both an undergrad and graduate degree in English Language and Creative Writing. I have taught E.S.L. for the last two years and have been working with children of all ages for nearly thirty years now, from my own private childcare business to homework help, and tutoring. I enjoy helping students take a subject that they struggle with and turn it into a subject they are interested in! I'm particually good with young children, but also do well with pre-teen, high school, and college level students. My favorite subjects to teach are reading, creative writing, and public speaking as these are my personal passions. It's important to me that my students also have fun! if they don't want to be in my classroom, they are less likely to absorb and remember. I like to incorporate their interests into my lesson plans as much as possible to keep things interesting!
