About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point, in the College of Natural Resources. I received my Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Management with a minor in Biology. Since graduation, I have worked in several different colleges doing academic advising and student support. I also spent two years teaching water technology and service learning at a juvenile prison, where we built our own aquaponics system! Most recently, I worked for my state department of health and environment, helping to educate the public about how to keep our water resources clean and healthy. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about math, science and writing. I find that I master topics (like math and science) differently than others, so I value the use of imagery and illustration when learning complex subjects. In my spare time, I play Minecraft and other video games with my children, and sometimes I get the chance to go fishing, which I love to do.
