About Me

I am passionate about learning, and I've been in and out of the classroom most of my life. I have bachelor's degrees in English (1998 Wabash College) and Health Sciences (2012 - University of Nebraska-Lincoln). I am also a graduate of the Modern Standard Arabic program at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, and am working on a third bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics at Austin Peay State University. While my current focus is math and science, I still have something of a liberal-arts mindset. I am a firm believer that the education we receive in brick-and-mortar classrooms complements the education we receive in the Schoolhouse of Life (and vice versa).
