I am a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and I received my graduate degree in Special Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1996 and my graduate degree in 2014. After receiving my undergraduate degree, I spent 16 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. After my son was born and it was determined that he had a learning disability, I decided to get a graduate degree in Special education. I now teaching children with a wide range of disabilities from Autism to Down Syndrome and everything in between. This has been the most rewarding decision in my adult life. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, running, and spending time with my husband and three children. We will often spend time with my parents fishing and enjoying the outdoors together.
