About Me

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Special Education (dual degree) from WGU. I have worked in Education for 10 years with students in K-12. I am also a certified ESL instructor. In addition have 3 years' experience as a homeschool parent. I am passionate about helping students because I also needed tutoring to get through Algebra. Moving forward, I would like to gain additional knowledge and certification in helping struggling readers with Dyslexia. I tutor all CORE subjects in grades K-5, but especially enjoy Math, Social Studies, Science and Reading. I thrive on finding new ways to help students understand and appreciate how all things in life are connected. My teaching philosophy and tutoring style is to give students individualized lessons and strategies to help them be successful.
