I would like to instill that same excitement and passion for learning in students in any and all subjects. I am currently a third-year student at the University of Virginia pursuing a double major in Economics and Computer Science with a minor in Chinese. I have lots of experience helping students, especially in math (I was in the math honor society in high school) and economics (I often enjoy helping my friends and classmates better understand concepts they are struggling on in class). My favorite subject to teach is economics because I love the different ways of thinking it forces people to adopt when they begin learning it. My teaching philosophy is based in helping students recognize connections between different concepts, because I believe this helps contextualize the information, making it more applicable to the student and therefore easier to remember and apply to their future studies. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing trumpet, and parkour.
