About Me

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Houston. I tutored for 1 year on campus for the American Chemical Society tutoring team. I have a lot of experience tutoring older students, but also have had some experience with freshman students as well. I majorly tutored Organic Chemistry, though I did spend some time tutoring Endocrinology and Micro Bio as well. Organic Chemistry is my favorite subject to tutor because it was the most challenging when I first studied it. I now really enjoy helping students understand the material and be that person I wish I had when I was first learning. My Teaching philosophy is to make the student feel comfortable and welcome. I want to guide them slowly through the fundamentals and stress their importance for comprehending more difficult topics. I also like to ask students a ton of questions to make sure they comprehend the topics. In my free time I love to exercise and play sports. I also love music. I always listen to music while preparing for exams or studying, as this relieves my anxiety and makes me feel at home. I want to make learning fun and show students that if you work hard enough, you can master anything.
