About Me

I received my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Saint Michael's College, and continued on to take three graduate level organic chemistry classes at Rutgers that were directly applicable to my job as a synthetic chemist. I tutor Chemistry and Math, and I really enjoy chemistry. I worked for 10 years in chemistry before I decided to focus on my family, my industry experience allows me to provide real world context to chemistry and math curriculm. I have been tutoring Chemistry and Math for 4 years at the local community college. I throughly enjoy when I can help a student to get to that ahha moment when everything fits together and finally makes sense. I am a very visual learner and I try to infuse my sessions as much as possible with visual aids as possible if the student is a visual learner too. When I'm not tutoring or learning new topics I enjoy hiking, cooking, knitting, walking with my big dog and spending time with my family.
